biography

Bálint Árpád Pataki grew up in Budapest, Hungary and then went on to study in Bosnia and Herzegovina and The Netherlands.

After graduating from Leiden University with a degree in Public Policy and Economics, Bálint joined KPMG’s public policy advisory practice in Budapest. He contributed to consulting projects aimed at innovating economic, sustainability and AI policies in the European Union and the UK.

Based on his experience as a Public Policy Analyst, Bálint found that he could be of good service to governments and their constituents by specialising in emerging technology and labour market policy.

At the Blavatnik School, he hopes to further develop some of the key skills and subject knowledge necessary to tackle complex multi-stakeholder policy challenges in these fields.

Bálint is an Open Philanthropy scholar.
