Dr Jesus EstanislaoDr Estanislao was finance minister of the Philippines in the early 1990s, at a time when the country was lumbered with crippling debts and had much to do to restore trust in public institutions following the Marcos dictatorship. Since then he has devoted his time to building integrity in public institutions. He has received many awards for his contributions to public service, including the Hernando de Soto Award for Democracy in 2013, and holds a PhD in economics from Harvard University.

At this fireside chat, Dr Estanislao will talk about how to prioritise when everything seems to need an expert policymaker's urgent attention. It will be an interactive session, with most of the hour devoted to audience questions.
