biography

Adam Hegedus' vision is to manage and lead large international development organisations that are solving the toughest intersecting challenges of our time, namely education, gender equality, and climate change.

Adam is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Educating the Future, an Australian government-funded NGO founded in 2016 providing quality community-led pre-school education to Timorese children. The organisation has educated over 500 children.

Adam is also the COO and Secretary of Teach Us Consent, an Australian government-funded advocacy movement that mandated holistic and age-appropriate consent education for four million Australian students. His experiences have inspired him to support young people in shaping policy and supporting cultural diplomacy.

Adam completed his BComm (Co-Op) at UNSW Sydney in 2019 specialising in management and information systems and subsequently received a first-class honours degree from the University of Sydney for his research on Gender Equality on Australian Boards in 2020.

Adam is a Pershing Square Scholar.
