biography

From Colombia, Alejandro received his undergraduate degrees in Law (LL.B.) and Philosophy (B.A.) from Universidad de los Andes, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard Law School. He has served at Colombia's Ministry of Labour, the Constitutional Court, and, for the past six years, as an auxiliary judge at the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, a transitional justice court tasked with prosecuting war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

His current policy interests include reimagining justice, revolutionising criminal law, and integrating restorative justice approaches into mid and high school education, both in Colombia and abroad.
