I am joining the Blavatnik School after completing my undergraduate studies in economics at Columbia University (Magna Cum Laude; Honor Society) and after working as an Associate Management Consultant at Strategy& (PwC's global strategy consulting team). In my bachelor degree studies, I focused on the economics of migration. Two years ago, I founded The Shachaf Foundation, a charitable NGO that was established to provide a comprehensive undergraduate scholarship programme and peer-advising structure for socially and community-oriented high school graduates from within the African asylum-seeking community in my home country, Israel. The foundation aims to open new horizons of opportunities, support integration, and enhance leadership development in a community that struggles with a humanitarian crisis. My goal is to acquire the intellectual foundations, analytical skills and understanding of public policy in order to develop economically sustainable and socially viable solutions for the integration of migrants into host societies.
