biography

Gal is committed to transforming healthcare systems and health policies to tackle the alarming rates of maternal mortality worldwide. Gal is from Israel.

During her undergraduate degree at Minerva, a university that allowed her to live in five different countries, Gal gained valuable insights into a wide range of healthcare systems and practices. Her journey has led her to hold roles spanning from lab research to patient care, including contributing to the fight against COVID-19 through vaccination efforts and researching hypertension's impact on maternal and fetal outcomes. Through direct service and case management work with unhoused populations, Gal witnessed first hand the barriers patients face in accessing healthcare. Her strength lies in connecting the medical to the clinical to the systemic, which has driven her to pursue the MPP programme to enhance her impact as a future physician.

Gal is a Rhodes Scholar.
