Sara has focused on setting up her path to contribute towards creating a positive impact in Brazilian people's lives. She holds an undergraduate degree in public administration from São Paulo State University (UNESP) and a MSc in Social Change and Political Participation from the University of São Paulo (USP).

With over a decade of experience as a public policy specialist in the São Paulo State Government, Sara has honed a background in public management and designing, implementing, and evaluating public policies and programmes to address complex challenges particularly in public health, education and urban planning. Noteworthy achievements include Sara's leadership roles as a Public Policy and Program Evaluation Director at the Department of Finance and Planning (2017–19), Director of Professional Education for Adults at the Department for Economic Development (2019–21) and Director of Planning and Evaluation at the Department of Public Health (2021–23).
