Abeer Alsumait has worked on regulation in many areas, including national cybersecurity, data privacy, and ICT markets. 

In her previous position, Abeer was part of the team set to develop and assess new approaches to regulate, set ahead, and enhance regulation in light of the highly interlocked regulatory environment for the ICT sector and its adjacencies.

Abeer sees sound public policy at the core of well-established societies and has selected this path to fulfil this purpose. She has been recognised for her ambition, intelligence, integrity and driven attitude towards excellence and impact.

Abeer is greatly looking forward to meeting like-minded people at the Blavatnik School of Government. 

Her policy interests are in data and technology policies, markets, and competition.  

Abeer is a Saudi Arabian Government Scholar.
