Madhu Chauhan is a Data Officer at the Government Outcomes Lab (GO Lab), University of Oxford. She manages live data for the International Network for Data on Impact and Government Outcomes (INDIGO) project. With a bachelor's degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering and a master's in social research methods and statistics, Madhu provides essential data visualisations and analyses to support the research team.

Previously a System Engineer at Infosys Technologies, Madhu also worked as a teaching assistant and a research assistant at the University of Manchester on projects related to female unpaid worktime during the COVID-19 pandemic and spatial analysis of teenage labour variations in India. She served as a teaching assistant for modules on Global Market Research and Quantitative Evaluation of Policies and Interventions.

Madhu's research focuses on causal inference and social impact evaluation in education, gender inequalities, and population dynamics, particularly in the geographic south. Her passion for social statistics stems from extensive volunteering in South Asia for gender equality and educational equity. As a global youth ambassador for education equality (2017-2022), Madhu collaborated with non-profits such as Teach for India and Infosys Foundation, extending support to underprivileged schools. She represented youth delegates at the Decent Jobs for Youth panel during UNICEF's South Asia Youth Skills and Solutions Forum in 2019.
