biography

Myriam-Morenike is a public policy professional. She recently completed the MPP at the School and worked as a Summer Associate for the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) as part of her summer project. At Oxford, Myriam-Morenike is the BAME representative for the student union's anti-sexual violence campaign 'It Happens Here'.

Prior to this, Myriam-Morenike worked in various capacities within the Canadian government, including as policy advisor to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth. Until recently, she was an executive member of the Young Liberals of Canada, the largest political youth organization in Canada.

Myriam-Morenike holds a degree in Political Studies and Psychology from Queen's University, where she was involved in various equity initiatives, including as Social Issues Commissioner for the student government. As a first-generation Canadian of Senegalese and Beninese heritage, her passion for promoting more just and inclusive communities.

Myriam-Morenike's policy interests include gender equality, anti-racism, and climate justice.

She is a Blavatnik School of Government Scholar.
