Reach Alliance researchers have examined the improvement of women’s security in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Maya Tudor, Associate Professor of Government and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School, is one of the faculty mentors on the initiative alongside the Saïd Business School’s Akshay Mangla.

The Reach Alliance researchers have studied the impact of Urgent Action and Just Relief (URJA) – a policy intervention that aims to increase access to women’s police stations – and have found that of the 13% of women who have experienced intimate partner violence, only 1% reported it.

Reach Alliance is a partnership between the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and this research was completed by researchers at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and Blavatnik School of Government, members of the Reach Alliance.
